- image quality wise one of the the best third party lenses I've used
Pros
- excellent image quality, even better than with the classic Canon 50 mm
- vivid and accurate colors (one of the best color reproductions I've seen)
- good image quality even wide open (f/1.4)
- nice bokeh considering the focal length
- solid mechanical structure
Cons
- has a tendency to front focus, this is annoying on short distances combined with large apertures
- is for 1.6x crop bodies only
