Created 2015, latest update 2017-10-18.

A German company Waldorf has come up with a set of interesting small form factor hardware synthesizers: Blofeld, Pulse 2, Rocket and Streichfett. All the three boxes have their own fields where they shine.

the t.bone IEM 100 In-Ear System

Written in 2013, latest update 2017-10-20. As of 2017 I would choose bluetooth headphones over this system. You can now get good bluetooth headphones on very low prices.

I had cheap wireless headphones and used them at home for years. They were from Lidl supermarket and compared to the low price they worked fine. Canon EOS 1D Mark III (aka Canon EOS 1D3) was my primary camera body from October 2009 to August 2013 and I used it very actively. It was replaced by Canon EOS 6D.

Canon EOS 20D was my primary camera body from December 2005 to October 2007. It was sold at October 2007 just before the purchase of Canon EOS 40D. Note that Canon EOS 30D is essentially the 20D boosted with a larger LCD, a new firmware and yet another set of auto focus points. So all that is written here about Canon 20D are likely to match also to Canon 30D.

Canon EOS 40D was my primary camera body from October 2007 to October 2009. It was a very good camera for my use. Changing from Canon 20D to 40D was partially an accident. I had a friend who needed a camera body at the same time when I was thinking whether to go with 20D for a year or so or to start looking for an upgrade. Written in 2005, latest update 2010.

If you are into serious photography, the first things you need are a camera body and one or more lenses. But in addition to these there are many things that are needed or come handy. Here are non-conclusive lists of things that I use or have used.

Written in 2007, latest update 2011.

Seculine Zigview S2 was a nice addition to my camera bag. It consisted of a small camera that attached to the viewfinder of an SLR and then after a cord there was a small LCD screen to display the viewfinder image. The pros were that Seculine Zigview S2 worked as expected and was handy when trying to lower my shooting position. The con was rather short battery lifetime. What could have been handy too would be an extension cord to the cam…

Yes it is true: most DSLR users seem to have a compact camera. I decided to get mine in January 2009 and went with the exciting Panasonic Lumix LX3. I also have got a spare battery and DMW-LW46 wide angle converter. I have been carrying it around on trips and holidays when a DSLR with lenses is too much. I have also used it at cat shows.

I have been using Ricoh GR for a while but found that there are sometimes cases where the fixed 28 mm focal length is too limiting. I also had noticed that having an APS-C sensor the Ricoh gives aesthetic results resembling to a DSLR. I sometimes prefer a small-sensor aesthetic results. These are the main reasons why I decided to get Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7. The LX7 was a very natural ch…
